Telling us your story
I want you to share your story with us and our readers.
All that you need to do is email me so I can add you to the site as a contributor. I’ll give you instructions. Or you can simply email me your submission and I will put it up on the site. It’s as easy as sending an email.
You can do it anonymously, or with your name in lights — it’s your choice.
Some quick advice:
- If you’re stuck on where to start your story or what to say, try and think of a specific incident and describe it. We spend years coming out and it can be very difficult and overwhelming to try and tell your story in its entirety. Plus if you focus on one incident, you’ll have more to contribute later!
- People tend to think of their coming out story as telling their parents/best friends. In reality we come out all the time, on a daily basis. Think about those times; they can make fantastic stories.
- If you are worried about grammar and spelling, stop worrying. I’ll make that my job so you can focus on expressing your story as best you can. I’ll clean up any glaring grammar or spelling issues, and make sure you see the finished product before I publish it.
- Change names. It’s never cool to out anyone else while telling your story. If you find it difficult, write it with the original names, then go in and change them after the fact.
I have always found sharing coming out stories as an affirming experience. I hope you all will too.
PS: Thinking your story isn’t interesting enough? Please read this post. And don’t think that.

I havent came out yet..so its been a while since i knew the freedom of everyone ecxepting you and knowing who you love or like. Ok so heres situation to give you my theory. It started in the third grade when this kid came out to me and began to flirt with me. And then the BIG question came up..”are you gay?… wanna go out? So i said yes and we both went out for the rest of the year. But then it came to the last month of school where he totaly betrayed me. He had told everyone about what had happened. I thought my life was over and i was gonna be misirable my whole life. But then everyone forgot.(so its like i came out but came back in LOL). Then it leads up to the 5th grade where we are in the same class but this time it was different.i still hated him but for some odd reason i felt like he didnt hate me inside i think he loves me but he just pretends to hate me bcuz of reputation and all(….to b continued) so thats my situation i hope it get better i try 2 stay as blessed as i can so all good may come
