Big Gay Closet

I’m fascinated with coming out stories — reading them, telling them, dissecting, comparing and discussing them. At a time when the “gay community” is so splintered, I like to bring myself and friends back to the thing that unites us — the closet.

If you’re gay, you’ve had to come out. You’ve had to come out to yourself to even identify as gay. You may or may not have made the decision to come out to others.

In or out, that Big Gay Closet is what we all have in common.
